10-year-old boy among victims as more than 20 shot on one Chicago day
Thu May 2, 2013
There is actually an easy solution to cutting down the gun violence in Chicago and it has nothing to do with more or less gun legislation. Instead, just shut off the welfare payments. If that is done, the continually jobless baby mommas will move away to somewhere they can get the benefits. If they …
Cops: Bomb sent to 'America's toughest sheriff' Joe Arpaio
Fri Apr 12, 2013
@CreekDog - I agree with you on this one. Whether you are R or D, sending a bomb to someone is a crime and an act of cowardice. It should not be condoned by members of either party and I would hope that everyone is in agreement that the sender should be caught and prosecuted. Making this thread poli …
Kansas snubs lesbian co-parent in Craigslist sperm donor case, attorneys say
Wed Apr 10, 2013
The state is involved because they want back the money paid for medical expenses on behalf of the child. By their law, the "father" of the child is responsible. If I were his lawyer, I would contend that he is not the father. His sperm was a commodity that was given to the two women. They were the o …
'Not a random act': Civilian employee dead after Fort Knox shooting
Wed Apr 3, 2013
@Jason - I agree with almost everything you said, but I do think there should be an exception for women with red hair. For the most part, they are just hot.
PETA to Queen Elizabeth: Stop pigeon racing
Thu Mar 28, 2013
It is hard for me to believe all this controversy over a flying rat. There are millions of pigeons out there and they spread disease while crapping on everything they can. So why should I care if some of them die? Every living thing dies eventually.
Cops: Anonymous tip sparked arrests in Georgia tot's slaying
Mon Mar 25, 2013
@Takenaka - It is already illegal for teens to own a handgun but these boys obtained one. Will having another law do anything more to stop a criminal from getting one? Thinking so is delusional. The problem as I see it is in the culture in which these kids were raised. I saw an interview once where …
Senators spar as assault weapons ban passes panel
Thu Mar 14, 2013
I just want to point out that there are many convicted felons who have been in prison for over 20 years and I would neither trust them nor want them to run the prison. Length of time served does not necessarily make one person more competent than another.
How much should you tip people who deliver your pizza?
Thu Mar 7, 2013
The delivery guy did not make the pizzas. All he did was transport them to the buyer. Had he delivered one pizza or 100, it was still just one trip.
Suspect identified in deadly Vegas Strip shooting
Sat Feb 23, 2013
Those of you bashing liberals for allowing this POS out on the streets, you need to pick on something else. In the system of justice in the US, a person is innocent until proved guilty in a court of law. Just because one is arrested does not make him guilty. The arrest is followed by booking and a b …
Hail of bullets from black Range Rover leads to three deaths on Vegas Strip
Thu Feb 21, 2013
Bill - The Range Rover got away because it happened at 4:30 a.m. on a cold Thursday. Even in Las Vegas, there isn't much traffic out at that time of day. Most late night partiers are back in their rooms by then and the early morning shift hasn't started yet. Besides, how many people are going to giv …
