Two in custody after fatal shooting at house party in Houston
Mon Nov 11, 2013
@Mikey - You are correct, it doesn't say "hand gun" anywhere. However, I don't know of any rifles or shotguns that are easily concealed. The article does state there was a pat down at the front door and the suspects refused. Therefore, it would probably be a correct assumption that the suspects were …
Two teens held after breaking into Denver school with guns: Cops
Tue Nov 5, 2013
@Standup - I think you are right in this one. The person who gets paid for their work is the one who submits it first. It is "breaking news." The second writer to submit it doesn't bet paid because it is old news by then. As a result, the writers don't care about the composition of the article or th …
Boehner: GOP won't allow 'unconditional surrender' to Obama
Tue Oct 8, 2013
In case you were not aware, there was already a significant amount of negotiation before the Affordable Health Care Act was passed into law. Why should more negotiation be required as a condition of rasing the debt ceiling or funding the operation of the government. It is the same as if the Democrat …
Gunman kills at least 12 at Washington Navy Yard, gathering weapons along the way
Mon Sep 16, 2013
Has anyone other than me noticed that when a Muslim commits a terrorist act, we are told by liberals that we shouldn't blame all Muslims for the acts of a single person but when a nut with a gun commits a murder we are told by those same liberals that all gun owners should be judged the same as the …
Grocery store worker may have infected 300 people with HIV, prosecutor says
Fri Sep 6, 2013
@Windancer - For a murder charge to stand, there must be a murder. The article doesn't say anyone died yet so unless there are unstated facts that charge wouldn't stick. @Carl H - Kansas does have capital punishment but the article doesn't say that any of the illegal activity occurredin that state. …
Hell no, he won't go? Soldier claims conscientious objector status days before deployment
Wed Jul 17, 2013
There is an easy solution to this question. Send him with his unit but don't give him a loaded weapon. Let everyone in his unit know his weapon isn't loaded so they would understand they can't rely on him. But the enemy wouldn't know it so it would reduce the real soldiers chances of being a target.
What's next for George Zimmerman?
Sun Jul 14, 2013
@Mspeaking - You obviously don't understand jury selection. The jury pool was made up of a broad spectrum of the population. You don't get to exclude white women just because you don't like the idea and want to have a black person on the jury. Similarly, you obviously don't understand the facts of t …
Mothers' testimony opens, closes day in Zimmerman trial
Fri Jul 5, 2013
I have been reading the comments above with interest and dismay. The people seem to be fixed on one side or another and are somehow trying to convince those of opposite opinion of how they are wrong. Many seem to be frustrated with American Girl because she doesn't seem to acknowledge any opinion ot …
9 wounded, one critically, in Brooklyn party shooting
Sun Jun 30, 2013
@lonereb post 30.3 - You made reference to a point that I think is one of the most valid of any in the "gun debate." That is, there are millions of guns in the U.S.
Texas abortion bill fails to pass after epic filibuster
Tue Jun 25, 2013
@dmf1972 - When I read the article, they had changed it to "Republican."
